Privacy policy
Written in plain English, because privacy policies you can't read aren't policies — they're camouflage. Effective August 2026.
The whole policy in three lines
- We collect your email only if you give it to us, and quiz answers.
- We never sell or share your data, and we run no ad trackers.
- One email to hello@over50romance.com deletes everything within 7 days.
What we collect, and why

What we deliberately don't do
- No advertising trackers. No Facebook pixel, no Google ad tags, no data brokers.
- No selling, renting, or “sharing with partners”. Your email goes to exactly one list: ours.
- No dark patterns. Unsubscribe is one click and works the first time.
- No profiling. Your quiz answers segment which guide we suggest — nothing else.
Where your data lives
The site and its small database run on Cloudflare's infrastructure in the United States. Subscription notifications are also delivered to a private editors' channel so we can greet new readers — that notification contains only what you submitted.
Cookies
We set no marketing or analytics cookies. Our host may set strictly necessary technical cookies (security, load balancing) that don't identify you to us.
Email: what to expect
- One letter a week, plus the guide you requested. That's the whole schedule.
- Every email contains a working unsubscribe link — no login, no «are you sure», no guilt screen.
- We comply with CAN-SPAM; if you're writing from the EU/UK, we honor GDPR-style requests (access, correction, deletion) for everyone, regardless of location.

Children
This site is for adults — the clue is in the name. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change what we collect or how we use it, this page gets updated first and the change is announced in the weekly letter — before it takes effect, not after.
